Hey everyone! I have a 93 Gen V 454 BBC that I'm wanting to get about 800hp/700tq. This is my plans but I need help on two things...rocker arms and valve springs. ENGINE Bored .60 over Eagle forged stroker kit -forged 4340 crank -forged 4340 H-beam rods -forged -18cc pistons -1 piece rear main.. 454 Gen V Simple Build. I'm new to this forum and I think my question will probably be an easy one for those familiar with the gen V 454. I've seen where many have said this engine isn't worth building for performance but I don't want it to be a dragster. The casting number on the block is 10114182. It was pulled from a 1991 RV

I build quite a few big blocks. The most popular is the 489 (.030) or 496 (.060). However a 503 using a 4.375 stroke works great. Somewhere below there is a video of an industrial engine I built using stock oval port heads. It made 540 torque at 2000 RPM and 616ft/lbs for peak torque.
